Yeah Saturdays has been having too many anime these last few seasons so I've been skipping or having to put on hold some anime. And of course, you never know which ones are going to be the better ones until it starts airing.

I was intrigued by Under Ninja but chose to skip it and check out weeks later, but then I saw the ratings were not so good for it.

Yeah the anime on Saturdays has been way heavy since like 2019 or 2020. Even Sundays is getting a heavy amount the past few seasons.

u could always watch the ones ur mildly interested in on 2x, under ninja was unique but def 2x for me. apothecary diaries is hard to watch on 2x cause the stories really interesting and flows better at normal speed, meanwhile undead unluck is loads of fun but you won't miss much watching it on 2x

I'm in the thought of if I have to resort to watching x2 speed then I might as well drop it.

The only time I've done it is for when I rewatched the first season of World Trigger and that's because they purposely drag out scenes in some episodes in order to fill time. I think I watched in 1.25x though, I can't remember.

Well, I never let the MC's gender stop me fr enjoying anime, books, or movies or else I'll miss out on really good stories.
Besides, this girl MC is a bad ass (not in action but intellect). She is the epitome of Sherlock Holmes including asocial tendencies and obsessions (studies only what's related to interests, ignorant of other basic knowledge).
You should watch a couple of episodes and then judge if it's for you. I also wouldn't really count this as shoujo but rather josie/seinen.
